So who is this Gypsy gal?
Well to start, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my blog, you could be doing anything right now, using your precious time, time you will never gain back, however, you decided to read ME--this gal, so THANK YOU! ♥
I'm this Gal who just wants PEACE&LOVE in every corner of this precious place we call Mother Earth. I'm a dreamer for truth and looking at the world with an OPEN Mind. I Love traveling, but not just traveling to the touristy parts of a place, but to live/visit/engage/learn from the inhabitants of that particular place. You see If I had the means (meaning the root of all evil=MONEY) I would grab my backpack, my two daughters (Ruby & Luna) and my husband (Tony); we would just be a family of Gypsies--living and learning from the rich cultures this world has to offer. --Mother Earth is definitely our school and our playground.
I am also a student of all things pretty :) from jewelry making, to interior decorating and thrift-boutique shopping, to capturing the most extraordinary moments in the world through my own lenses (iHeartPhotography). Fashion, what is it? to me, it really is what MAKES YOU, it's what makes the person Unique, and stand out. Many people will not agree with your style or fashion sense, but who cares right? it truly doesn't matter, it is your style to do as you please, if it makes you HAPPY than that is all that matters. And yes, you will come across people who will judge you, and misinterpret you, but again, WHO cares!? I don't, so you should too, and wear your own style with PRIDE!
Let me tell you a true story about Fashion: finding your own style--My daughters (Ruby, 9 and Luna, 4) when it comes to many things in life they are truly my TEACHERS (if you stick around reading my blogs, you will get to read more about them and all the lessons they have taught me). Luna gets up every morning, before any of us, first thing she does is go to her closet and picks whatever pieces she finds pretty. The other day she got her pink tutu, her bright pink stripped leggings, a bright purple Hello Kitty (yes, we love HK) shirt, a BIG Yellow Bow Headband, a pink cardigan and her LEOPARD PRINT Mary Janes with her Colorful stripped socks. Boom! Get a load of that! (lol) don't get me wrong, I was biting my tongue when I saw her dressed like that (yes, there have been times when I have asked her to change...but regret it later) but I have learned that all that CLOTHING SHE WORE THAT DAY made HER the HAPPIEST and CONFIDENT child on earth :), and the best part was that she DID NOT CARE what others thought or said (if any..I hope not) about her outfit that day. I feel we need to go back to being CAREFREE individuals, just like CHILDREN, these beings are the most honest and carefree people I have ever met. Be a student of children, they will teach you...if you let them.
Oh by the way, did I tell you how much I love To RUN?! It all started when I was 13 years old, my old man (mi Papi) runs too, I used to love doing everything "manly" with my dad, from helping him fix the backyard fence and deck to checking out the car engine, oil, and so on...but the best thing was when we ran, we ran together all over DC, I honestly didn't realize that we were exercising, I thought we were just having fun, just me and my dad. My favorite run was running en la calle 16, en el parque Carter Barron (Park on 16th Street, in Washington DC). So I just ran, and ran....one of my good friends, and former co-worker (LaNail) re-introduced me to running, this time, it was timed and we had goals to run 5Ks, 8Ks, 10Ks (goal for this year half a marathon 2013) so we started running and running, eventually we signed up for 8Ks and 10Ks and we formed a CentroNia Group of runners....oh so much fun! (I'll write a blog solely on running soon).
